Formed in December of 2021, this alternative / pop punk band from the south of Metro Manila
was initially a home recording project by JM, Wency, Arbie, and Perry. The group DIY'ed everything
from
recording all the way to publishing and marketing. They released two singles, "Where Flowers Used to
Bloom" and "Orora" in 2022.
Unforeseen challenges arose, including the extended global pandemic restrictions, multiple lineup
changes, and
schedule and
financial constraints. These obstacles led to a premature one-year hiatus beginning in
mid-2022.
Refueled by their passion for songwriting and recording, they regrouped in June of 2023, and wrote
one
song per week for three months. Eyeing to take their talents from their bedrooms to the live gigging
scene, they recruited John and Lyrics to complete the full-band lineup. They recorded and released
their
single "Wander Off" and DIY'ed its music video production. They were
then
contacted and invited to perform their first live gig on the global phenomenon Wish Bus.
Now signed under KDR
Music House , Mundane is geared up and ready to bring its DIY ethos, hybrid sound, and
heartfelt
lyrics
to the forefront. Their latest single, a remake of their very first song, "Where Flowers Used to
Bloom"
is about the members' shared
experience on liminality
and the loss of one's own passion and identity, and it was re-released under KDR Music House on June
28,
2024.
Currently, the 5 members are writing non-stop and recording their next
single with an eye (and
ear) for a continuous organic evolution of their sound.
Stay tuned!
